Basic facts you never knew about Purpose.

Heyyy lovelies! 💕💕. If you read my last blog post, you’ll know it’s about purpose 😚.

And I couldn’t wait to jump right into another topic but something within me feels I should say a bit more about purpose for someone’s sake, who knows, it could be you. 😚😚. So you’ll do well to keep reading.

Jeremiah 1:5 says “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

So what exactly does that tell you? 

First and foremost, you have a purpose and a destiny that has been set for you to fulfill, a grand one at that. And why do you find it difficult to believe that?

Because you actually don’t believe it when you’re not making any moves about it. That’s just the simple truth.

Or wait, do you think purpose is a one time thing? You think you’d just come into a time in the future where you’ll achieve a huge feat and Baba God will mark you “purpose fulfilled ✅✅”. If you’ve been thinking that way, then you’ve gotten it all wrong.

Your purpose is the sum of assignments given to you by God per time and it is throughout a person’s lifetime . It’s not one huge task that is done once and for all.

Now, what do you think about getting into your closet and asking God what assignment he has for you at this time?

Your passion and pain could be pointers to your purpose. You know those things in the world that give you great concern and you just wish you should be in those shoes to make them right.

Or in the other way, there could be a thing that when you do it, it gives you so much peace and pleasure and makes you feels like you’re on top of the world. 

Pay attention to those things because they could be pointers to how you’ll play your role in the agenda of God. Remember Moses who was so pained about the way an Hebrew was treated and killed the Egyptian, not knowing his purpose was in that line (Exodus 2).

Do you also know that purpose is to be prepared for? Yes sis/bro, purpose involves preparation. Just as we prepare for tasks, projects, exams etc,, you also have to be prepared for what God has prepared for you. Remember Esther was prepared by Mordecai and Hegai the custodian of the women (Esther 2) for her purpose. So also, you have to go through some sort of training to fit into the context of your purpose perfectly. Now, our preparation differs from each other due to differences in callings.

And it is God himself who leads you through this training, therefore stick with Him and embrace your preparation quickly. Stop comparing it with that of your friend.

You also need to understand that Purpose is not easy. Preparation for purpose or even the assignments that make up purpose are not fun or easy all the time. Erase that mindset that thinks it’s an easy-peasy job. The truth is, it is hard work, it will require your all and will cost you, to the extent that you will even have to trust God for grace to fulfill it. But don’t worry my dear, God’s gat you.

Finally, brethren, before I put down this pen, have you heard about the 7 mountains of influence? If you have, great, if you’ve not, let me let you into it.

The seven mountains of influence are key aspects of the society that are believed to be able to shape the cultures of the world.

They are Family, Religion, Politics/Government, Education, Business, Arts/Entertainment, and Media.

Some people don’t believe in this mandate, but me, I do. There’s no way you won’t find yourself working in at least one of these areas and the goal is to influence the world for Jesus through it. 

In that mountain of influence, be a light and a salt. 

In summary, dear child of God. Arise and take your place for Jesus Christ.

It may seem confusing and overwhelming now or you don’t even know where to start or how to go about it.

The thing is, focus on your relationship with God. He will lead you one step at a time.

So yeahhh, let’s put a pause to purpose for now.
