The Only Way to Fulfilment of Purpose in Life.

The gentle winds blew softly. It was one beautiful evening. The chief sat on his chair enjoying the cool breeze. He was surrounded by some of his subjects who sang his praises. As he smiled at them, they praised him the more.

Being the love-filled and creative being that he was, the chief began to imagine some things in his heart. The memory of his only son who is doing so well in school and who made him proud day after day dropped into his mind. The boy was just perfect and everyone spoke well of Him. He took the exact nature of His father.

Suddenly, an idea struck the chief, and he spoke aloud, “wouldn’t it be a great idea to have so many children who will be exactly like this my son”? He gives me so much pleasure and would do anything for me.

The chief then called his son and the third member of the family. He discussed his idea with them and everyone loved it. Shortly afterward, they came up with a complete plan of how the whole thing will go from beginning to end, and immediately, they set to work.

Woooow! Isn’t this incredible?

Hiii! 🤗🤗🤗😚😚

You’re welcome to today’s episode of journeying in faith.

I know it’s been a short while but I just couldn’t help it. But gloryyy, I’m back now.

Alright today, we will be discussing purpose.

Some years ago, after I got serious with my relationship with God. I began to hear talks about “purpose”, “purpose” and “purpose”.

Questions like ” what’s your purpose in life?”, you have to discover your purpose”, “purpose is why you’re on earth”, and this and that.

I kept coming across the question, and for some time afterward, it was a concern.

But now I’ve got an understanding of purpose to an extent and that’s what I want to let you into.

So if you’ve been wondering, “what is this purpose thing even all about?, and how do I even fulfill my purpose?” Grab a popcorn and follow me.

Why am I on earth sef?

I’ll be using the story above to explain. 😚😚.

The chief, in this case, is God, the only son is our Lord Jesus Christ, and the third person is the holy spirit.

The plan of God is to have men who will grow to become like His only son Jesus Christ and who will live for His glory and pleasure. Rom 8:29, Ephesians 1:5

This happened even before the beginning of the world, and since then, God has been in that business. He already laid out his plans just like an architect that wants to build a house. And he has been committed to bringing it to pass.

Heeei, God is the real masterplanner. He ensured everything is set even before  starting out at all, and He is so consistent with His plans.  And do you know the most beautiful thing? Man is at the center of this plan of God.

So if you’re a man or woman reading this, now you know that the plan of God for you is to become like Him in nature and to live with you forever at the end of the age. Rev 21: 3

I know you’re asking now “how is your purpose in life related to this?”. Just keep following, pleaaase.

Your purpose in life is tied to this overall plan of God. Your purpose in life is to play your part in this overall plan of God.

Some people have played their part before, some are playing their part now and other people will come into the equation to play their part.

It is like a man who wants to build a house and hires different people to act their roles in building the house.

Just as the work of a bricklayer is different from a carpenter, and a plumber is different from an electrician’s.

So also we have all our different roles to play but it is all towards one plan.

The plan is to bring men into Christ, build them up and grow them up in the knowledge of Christ.

Many people in the days of old who lived earlier have played their part.

Father Abraham played his part through his walk with God and living an exemplary life of faith for us to emulate, how he made himself available for God to use in His eternal plan and God promised him that in him will all the nations of the earth be blessed, and our Lord Jesus Christ is the seed of Abraham through which the world is now blessed.

Other people in the scriptures such as Moses, the children of Israel, David,  Nehemiah, Joseph all lived their lives towards the fulfillment of the divine agenda of God by playing their roles towards the coming of Christ.

The Israelites played their part by showing an example of what it means to be God’s own people even though they were stubborn and stiff-necked most of the time.

Moses played his part by leading them out of Egypt and giving them the law.

Jesus Christ then came and He also played his part by restoring the relationship between man and God that was disrupted by the fall of Adam, not only that, He also set the standard of living for us by His own life on earth.

His Apostles continued the work and played their part by preaching the gospel and getting men saved.

This whole thing from when God started can also be likened to a movie, where different scenes are being acted by different people, but of course, the movie has only one theme.

It’s the turn of you and I now, note that when I mean played their part, it means they fulfilled their purpose.

It’s your turn. Yes, you.

And the fulfillment of purpose can never be done outside of God.

Your purpose is part of God’s eternal grand plan and you have a part to contribute to this grand plan.

It begins with believing in the Lord Jesus Christ and having a good relationship with God.

It continues with finding what God would have you do to contribute to his large plan.

We all have a general purpose to win souls into the kingdom of God. 2 cor 5:18 And also to pray that the will of God is done on the earth. Rev 5:10

But there are also specifics to it. Just like the people in the Bible contributed to the plan of God in different ways, so also in this day and age, how we will contribute to  the agenda of God is different although we are all working towards the same goal.

Your individuality, giftings, location, background, and experiences will all work towards you fulfilling your part in this plan of God.

Our purposes in life are tied to one another. You have a responsibility to other people and other people also have a part to play in your own life.

What have I been saying since, I’m saying that you’ve been called to live like Christ on the earth, to shine the light of God in your sphere, to live to the praise and glory of God, to bring men into Christ, and to bring them up in the knowledge of Christ.

It is now up to you to find out from God how (through what means and in which sphere) He would have you do that.

It could be in the business sector, the media, politics, church, education and others.

Remember I said we won’t all do it the same way. But we’re good as long as we are doing what God would have us do.

That’s what it means to discover and fulfil purpose.

As you grow in your walk with God, He leads you on the path of fulfillment of purpose.

So keep fellowshipping and growing. I hope you have been blessed with this.

Byee for now. I’ll see you again.

Byeee 😘
