Titi: (phone rings and picks it up) Toluwalopee, my dearest. How have you been? It’s been a really long while.
Tolu: ππ, Titi darling, I’m doing great, how about you?
Titi: I’m also doing very well. Oya give me quick gist on how everything is going.
Titi: Well, daddy, mummy and my siblings are doing fine, I’m making progress in my business, alongside taking some courses, I’ve been improving on myself generally and my relationship with Soji is also blossoming. ππ.
Tolu: Wow!! That’s amazing and I’m happy to hear that. All glory to God.
But babe, I noticed you did not say anything about your spiritual devotion. Have you been praying and spending time with God?
Tolu: I’m trying my best jare, I pray sometimes when I wake up in the morning, or when I want to sleep at night. But you know I’m always tired from work.
I’m also usually so busy with house chores, work, church programs and other activities that there will be no time to pray and then sometimes I don’t even feel like praying, praying could be a hard thing, yunno.
I just find it hard sometimes and I get tiredπͺπ΄π©…
—————————————–
Hii ππ€. Welcome to another sweet episode of journeying in faith. I hope you’ve been fine.
So, if you’ve been in Tolu’s shoes before, or you’re currently in her shoes now, signify and let’s know ourselves. Like you know you should pray but it’s not going as it should and you’ve accepted it as like that.Β Or you’ve been trying and struggling with prayers and it’s just not going well.
Of course, praying can be a hard and boring thing to do sometimes, and it may even seem like there’s no time for it and can easily be skipped due to a tight work schedule and all.
But in this blog post, I just want to share something that I’ve found out, that is helping me and will be of help to you too.

There was a time I used to pray for praying sake or because they used to say we should pray. So let me sha pray too in case someone asks.
But I’ve discovered that when we have a good understanding about something, it will help us to make better use of it.
If we have a good understanding of the importance of prayer, most of the struggles we have about it will be reduced.
Yes, there’s no time to pray but how else will I know God’s plan for my life when I don’t pray? Because, it is in the place of prayer or as a result of prayer that we know what God will have us do or where he wants us to go.
So if we don’t pray, we won’t know. Jeremiah 33:3, 1 Corinthians 2: 9-10.
A man who always spends time with God will never be confused or lack clarity.
And it does not end with just knowing, you can’t carry out what you know unless you pray, because it is prayer that gives the strength to do. There is no strength without prayer. Ephesians 3:16, Colossians 2: 9, 11.
Regular prayer helps us hear clearly and discern the voice of God. You will be sensitive to the voice of God if you have a consistent relationship with Him and you will be able to diffrentiate His voice from your own mind or the voice of the devil.
You have to make prayer a lifestyle because it helps you to stand firm and keeps you in alignment.
Anyone who isn’t praying is more susceptible to temptations and the prey of the devil.
Any man who doesn’t pray, and consistently at that cannot fulfill the will of God for his life, because he won’t last.
So it isn’t a matter of feelings, lack of time or whatever other excuses. It is a NECESSITY.
Men ought always to pray and not give up. Luke 18:1(NIV).
Pray long prayers, pray short prayers. Pray without ceasing.
Don’t pray to fulfill righteousness, pray intentionally and consistently.
The Bible says we are kings and priests to God. Revelations 1:6.
And as priests, one of our offerings to God is intercessions. If you’re not interceding for the will of God to take place on the earth, or praying for your family, friends or work, then you’ve not been standing in your office as a priest.
There are lots of evils happening everyday and we can’t just afford to live life casually.
As a child of God, you commit your ways and life into the hands of God in prayers. We enforce the will of God in our lives and in our environment in the place of prayer.
Even Jesus Christ, our standard and perfect role model had a culture of prayer, if Jesus, a whole God in flesh could pray, what then do you think we can do without prayers?
I believe you’re aware that the best way toΒ pray is praying in the spirit. Praying in tongues. You achieve much more by praying like that. Romans 8: James 5:17, 1Thess 5:17
And what is praying alone without the study of the word of God? They go hand in hand. It it is the knowledge of God’s word that you have that will help you pray effectively. So read and study your Bible, and then pray.
This is what sustains our life as believers and keeps us in abiding.

If you’re not doing this, then you’ve stopped abiding and any branch who isn’t abiding in the vine will stop bearing fruits and will die off sooner or later. John 15: 5-6.
I know that this post would be mere talk and words if it isn’t backed up with prayers.
And so I have prayed for you. You’re helped of God to pray. Pick a good time and commit to it.
And if you need help in any way, ask God, He’s more than willing to help. And you can also speak to someone.
Till when next we meet.
Keep praying and studying the Word.
Shalom. π€βπ
